What is the WSQ?
The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national credential system that aims to enhance the capabilities, productivity and growth of individuals and employers. In fact, those who achieved full WSQ qualifications by completing several modules earned an average of 5.8 percent more wages than others following the year after training.
Trainees who received a statement of achievement and those who received full qualifications were also 3.5 percent and 2.6 percent more likely to be employed respectively within a year.

In 2018 about an estimated 465,000 Singaporeans and 12,000 enterprises benefitted from training subsidies. According to the Ministry of Manpower Labour Force Survey, the training participation rate has significantly increased from 32.5 percent in 2013 to 48 percent in 2018.
